James Virgo
Hi – I am James, CEO & Co-Founder of Dittofi.
My co-founder Samuel & I have been building tech for the last 15 years.
Over the past 15 years, Samuel & I have built a lot of apps.
We have worked with teams, but we have also personally architected, built & launched apps for startups, scale ups, SMEs & enterprises.
The largest company that we built an app for as a team of two, was the Toronto Stock Exchange in 2016. The project spanned several years & the final solution was delivered as a SaaS product that was sold to banks & brokers around Canada.
Having built over 100 apps, ranging from small to large, we have been lucky enough meet specialists in almost every niche in software. We learnt from them what the best practices were for building different types of app. This has given us a very deep & wide reaching experience. For example, we have experience building apps that need to handle large numbers of users, real-time data sets & analytics, AI & complex devops implementations.
What we have learnt is that each app comes with its own unique challenges.
These can be technological challenges, but they can also be business challenges. For example, the technology & the methods used to develop apps for a startup trying to find product market fit, is not appropriate for scale ups, SMEs or enterprises.
That being said, one thing that is consistently true, is that good technology can set you apart from the competition whoever you are. However, good technology is expensive, time consuming & hard to develop.
This is why we built Dittofi.
We wanted to develop a visual app development studio that generates quality code, on a modern tech stack (react.js & Google Go) & that developers & non-developers can collaborate on to build quality apps easier & faster.
Our mission is to make it easier to build quality software applications.
Alongside Dittofi & to help in this mission, we’ve created a small & heavily in demand network of no-code trainers, developers, designers & product managers. These people are there to help advise you & in some cases implement complex features so that you can meet your app development goals.
